Types and purposes of processing

Registration data: Examples of registration data are name, email address, and password. In the future, additional personal data may be collected. This data is used to create, manage a user account, and provide personalized features and services.

Usage data: Information about the use of the School-App, such as pages visited, search queries, and interactions with the content. This data is used to improve the user experience and the quality of the School-App.

Meta-Data: The company also collects meta-data, such as IP addresses, browser type and version, operating system, device type, and timestamps of activities. This data is used to diagnose technical problems, ensure the security of the School-App, and optimize the user experience.

Legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the consent of the person concerned in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR and the fulfilment of contractual obligations in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR.

Data sharing with third parties

Google Analytics is used for website usage analysis and user experience optimization.

International data transfers

All personal data is stored and processed within the EU. No transfer of personal data is made outside the EU borders.

Retention period

Personal data is stored for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy. In general, the retention period for personal data is 10 years according to § 147 AO, unless other legal retention obligations apply.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. User IP addresses are anonymized before being transmitted to Google. A contract for order processing has been concluded between Quantitative Semantics GmbH and Google. Please note that these rights may be restricted under certain circumstances to protect the rights and freedoms of other individuals or in the public interest.

Supervisory authority

The competent supervisory authority is the Independent State Centre for Data Protection Schleswig-Holstein (ULD).

Authentication

We use Keycloak for authentication and storage of login data. No information is transmitted externally to Keycloak as a service provider.

Payment providers

Payment processing is carried out via the payment service providers PayPal and Stripe. Personal payment data is transferred to these providers to process the payment. We recommend that you review the privacy policies of PayPal and Stripe before making payments.

Age restrictions

The use of applications by Quantitative Semantics GmbH is only allowed for individuals over 18 years of age. When registering, users are required to provide their date of birth. This allows us to restrict access by minors.

Changes to the privacy policy

Changes to this privacy policy will be notified to users by email. Users have the opportunity to object to the new regulations within 14 days of receiving the email. If no objection is made within this period, the new data protection regulations are considered accepted. In the case of significant changes to the data protection regulations, users will again be asked for their consent.

Security measures

We take appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the personal data we process. This includes in particular encryption techniques.

Revocation of consent

You have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.
